Expert engineering insights and technical guidance regarding pressure ratings, end connections, seat formulations, quality standards, and installation protocols for Stainless Steel Integrated Bonnet Needle Valve Tube to Tube.
A Stainless Steel Integrated Bonnet Needle Valve Tube to Tube is an advanced instrumentation flow control valve featuring an integral one-piece body and precision double-ferrule compression fittings on both inlet and outlet ports. Instead of using pipe threads, it swages directly onto metal tubing. When the nut is tightened 1-1/4 turns past finger-tight, the front ferrule is driven into the body socket to create a primary fluid-tight seal on both the body and the tube OD, while the case-hardened back ferrule bites into the tubing to provide exceptional mechanical grip and vibration resistance without twisting the tube.
Threaded pipe connections require PTFE thread tape or liquid sealants, which can shred or wash into the flow stream, clogging delicate analytical sensor orifices, chromatograph columns, and solenoid valves. In contrast, Tube-to-Tube compression valves require zero sealants, completely eliminating contamination. Furthermore, compression fittings provide superior resistance to vibration fatigue, eliminate the need for male-to-tube adapters, and can be repeatedly disconnected and remade without degrading sealing integrity.
Our standard Tube-to-Tube series is rated up to 6,000 PSI (414 Bar) at 200°C (392°F), with heavy-body models rated up to 10,000 PSI (700 Bar), matching the maximum burst strength of high-pressure seamless tubing per ASME B31.3. Standard PTFE chevron packing supports temperatures from -54°C to 232°C (-65°F to 450°F), while optional PEEK or Grafoil packing enables service up to 315°C (600°F).
Pioneer Industries manufactures Tube to Tube needle valves for fractional tubing from 1/8″ to 1″ OD (1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″) and metric tubing from 3 mm to 25 mm OD (3mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm). The compression ferrule geometry is precision-engineered to be 100% interchangeable and intermixable with industry-standard double-ferrule brands including Swagelok®, Parker A-LOK®, and DOK-LOK®.
In high-vibration environments—such as turbine fuel skids, offshore drill rigs, and reciprocating gas compressors—conventional threaded or bolted bonnet valves are vulnerable to joint relaxation, resulting in hazardous bonnet back-off and high-pressure leaks. The integral bonnet design eliminates the body-bonnet joint entirely, machining the bonnet cavity directly into the solid bar-stock body. This creates an unshakeable, one-piece structure that cannot separate under cyclic mechanical vibration or hydraulic pressure shocks.
We offer three interchangeable stem tip configurations: (1) Vee Tip: hardened blunt point for positive bubble-tight shut-off; (2) Regulating Tip: precision tapered profile offering linear flow coefficient control for fine metering of carrier gases and calibration standards; and (3) Soft Tip: PCTFE or PEEK non-rotating insert delivering 100% bubble-tight sealing on ultra-light gases like hydrogen and helium.
To install, insert the deburred and squared stainless steel tubing completely into the valve socket until it bottoms firmly against the internal shoulder. Tighten the nut finger-tight. For sizes 1/4″ to 1″ (6 mm to 25 mm), hold the valve body with a backup wrench and tighten the nut 1-1/4 turns with an open-end wrench. For 1/8″ and 3 mm tubing, tighten 3/4 turn. Use a standard gap inspection gauge to confirm proper swaging clearance before system pressurization.
Yes. Every Tube to Tube needle valve is available with an optional panel mounting nut and threaded bonnet barrel. This enables clean bulkhead mounting through instrument cabinet walls, analyzer racks, and mobile test cart panels, providing secure front-panel knob actuation while isolating the tubing runs behind the panel.
Every single valve undergoes 100% factory inspection, including hydrostatic shell proof testing at 1.5× working pressure and 100% dry nitrogen pneumatic testing at 1,200 PSI (80 Bar) for seat and gland leak-tightness. Each valve is stamped with its unique heat code, brand, and size, and accompanied by an EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificate providing complete chemical and mechanical traceability.
Pioneer Industries provides comprehensive project supply support, including ex-stock delivery on standard fractional and metric sizes, custom tagging and laser marking, competitive manufacturer-direct pricing with an MOQ of 1 piece, export crating, and rapid delivery to over 85 countries worldwide.
