Pioneer Industries is an internationally recognized manufacturer and supplier of heavy-duty Brass Inverted Flare Male Connectors, engineered to connect double-flared copper, bundy steel, and copper-nickel tubing directly into female NPT, NPTF, or BSPT pipe ports in automotive brake, fuel, and transmission fluid circuits.
The Brass Inverted Flare Male Connector from Pioneer Industries is one of the most essential piping adapters in automotive, commercial vehicle, and mobile fluid power systems. Featuring an internal female 42°/45° inverted flare cone seat with straight Unified National Fine (UNF) internal threads on one end, and a tapered male National Pipe Taper (NPT or NPTF dryseal) thread on the opposing end, this connector provides a dependable, leak-tight transition between double-flared tubing lines and female-threaded equipment ports.
Manufactured in strict adherence to SAE J512, SAE J1231, and ASME B16.26 standards, our male connectors are precision-turned from high-tensile extruded brass bar stock (BS 249 / CW614N / ASTM B16 C36000) or hot-forged brass blanks (BS 218 / CW617N). The solid hexagonal center section provides ample wrenching engagement for fast, slip-free tightening during field installation.
Pioneer Industries exports Brass Inverted Flare Male Connectors to automotive tier-1 brake system fabricators, engine builders, off-highway machinery manufacturers, and hydraulic specialists across more than 85 countries worldwide. Large inventory reserves in Mumbai guarantee rapid dispatch of standard fractional sizes from 1/8" to 3/8" tube OD.
Every connector is manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system utilizing high-precision multi-axis machining centers. All dispatches are supported by EN 10204 Type 3.1 material test certificates and comprehensive 100% pneumatic leak test documentation.

In automotive braking systems, engine fuel injection rails, and hydraulic transmission cooling lines, connecting metal tubing to female-threaded master cylinders, wheel cylinders, carburetors, and fuel pumps is a constant requirement. Pioneer Industries’ Brass Inverted Flare Male Connector delivers an impenetrable mechanical seal on both ends: a tapered pipe thread seal on the equipment end, and an enclosed 42°/45° metal-to-metal compression seal on the tube end.
Because the internal inverted flare seat encloses the tube flare completely within the brass body, the sealing surfaces are protected against stone impingement, de-icing chemical corrosion, and accidental tool gouging. Operating reliably across temperatures from -54°C to +121°C, it is fully rated for pressures up to 2,800 PSI.
Pioneer Industries manufactures Brass Inverted Flare Male Connectors in tube OD sizes from 1/8" to 3/8" with 1/8" to 3/8" male NPT/NPTF pipe threads. Continuous operating pressures up to 2,800 PSI (193 bar). Conforms to SAE J512, SAE J1231, ASME B16.26, and ASTM B16 specifications.
Explore comprehensive engineering dimensional configurations for Fractional Inch Series, Metric Series, and Certified Material Specifications. Manufactured according to SAE J512, SAE J1231, ASME B16.26, and international standards.

A Brass Inverted Flare Male Connector is a straight adapter designed to connect double-flared tubing to a female pipe-threaded (NPT or NPTF) port. It features an internal female 42°/45° inverted flare cone on one end, and a tapered male NPT pipe thread on the other, making it an industry standard for automotive brake, fuel, and transmission systems.
On the pipe side, the tapered male NPT threads seal via thread wedging interference against female threads, requiring PTFE tape or anaerobic sealant. On the tubing side, sealing is 100% mechanical metal-to-metal, achieved when the male-threaded inverted flare nut drives the double-flared tube against the internal brass cone seat without any sealant.
Inverted flare connectors provide superior protection against vibration fatigue and road damage. By enclosing the flared tube end inside the fitting cavity, the flare is shielded from stone chipping and de-icing chemicals. The threaded nut also supports the tube beyond the flare, preventing fatigue cracks.
Yes. The body features a precision-machined hexagonal wrench flat designed to standard inch or metric wrench sizes, allowing secure torquing without slipping or rounding.
Working pressure ratings range from 2,000 PSI (138 bar) for 3/8" tube sizes up to 2,800 PSI (193 bar) for 3/16" and 1/4" tube sizes. Burst pressure exceeds four times the rated working pressure (4:1 safety factor).
Always use two wrenches: one wrench to hold the hexagonal body of the male connector stationary, and a second wrench to rotate the inverted flare nut. Never rely on the pipe thread connection to counter-hold the flare nut torque.
We manufacture these connectors from BS 249 / CW614N (ASTM B16 C36000) high-tensile brass bar stock, offering excellent machinability, tensile strength above 400 MPa, and high resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
The inverted flare end conforms to SAE J512, SAE J1231, and ASME B16.26. The pipe thread end conforms to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for standard NPT threads, or SAE J476 for Dryseal NPTF threads.
Yes. The inverted flare side can be disassembled and reassembled multiple times without losing its sealing integrity. The male NPT side can also be removed, although old sealant must be cleaned off and fresh sealant applied before re-installation.
Pioneer Industries performs 100% visual and dimensional checks, thread pitch verification with go/no-go gauges, and pressure testing in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. EN 10204 Type 3.1 certificates are supplied with every order.
