A 2 Port Direct Acting Solenoid Valve is an on/off fluid control valve with one inlet port and one outlet port. When electrical current energizes the solenoid coil, a powerful magnetic field draws the spring-loaded magnetic plunger (armature) toward the fixed core, lifting the elastomer sealing pad off the valve orifice to permit instantaneous full flow.
Because the mechanical movement is powered entirely by electromagnetic force, the valve requires no minimum differential pressure, making it ideal for gravity draining, tank discharge, low-pressure gas analyzers, vacuum packaging, and closed-loop medical or analytical circuits. Available orifice sizes range from 1.50 mm micro-orifices up to 5.00 mm high-flow ports.
