Engineered for transitioning between two different tubing outer diameters across enclosure partitions and machine bulkheads, Pioneer Industries Brass Double Ferrule Bulkhead Reducers provide robust panel clamping and hermetic twin-ferrule sealing up to 5,000 PSI.
The Brass Double Ferrule Bulkhead Reducer is a specialized panel pass-through fitting designed to connect two different tubing outer diameters through a structural partition or enclosure wall. It combines an extended threaded mounting barrel and dual jam nuts with two different tube-size sockets on opposite sides.
In process instrumentation panels, main distribution supply lines often use larger tubing (such as 1/2″ or 12mm), while internal cabinet signal lines require smaller tubing (such as 1/4″ or 6mm). This bulkhead reducer performs the diameter reduction and panel mounting simultaneously in one leak-free component.
Manufactured by Pioneer Industries Mumbai, these bulkhead reducers are exported worldwide to process automation builders, analyzer shelter fabricators, and pneumatic OEM equipment manufacturers.
Components are precision CNC-machined from premium extruded brass (IS 319 / ASTM B16 / CW614N) with micro-smooth surface finishes. Every production lot undergoes rigorous metallurgical spectrometry, optical CMM dimensional checks, and helium leak detection, accompanied by authentic EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates.

Expert engineering insights and technical guidance regarding swaging mechanics, pressure thresholds, tubing compatibility, and installation protocols for Brass Double Ferrule Bulkhead Reducer.
A Brass Double Ferrule Bulkhead Reducer allows tubing of one outer diameter on the exterior of a panel or enclosure to connect directly to tubing of a smaller outer diameter on the interior, providing a rigid, hermetically sealed pass-through connection in a single fitting.
Instead of installing a separate bulkhead union plus an inline reducing union, this fitting integrates both functions into a single body, cutting total assembly length by half and eliminating two potential leak points.
Standard combinations include 12mm to 6mm, 10mm to 6mm, 8mm to 6mm (Metric MPBR Series), and 1/2″ to 1/4″, 3/8″ to 1/4″, 1/4″ to 1/8″ (Fractional IPBR Series). Custom reducing steps can be manufactured on order.
Accommodates panel thicknesses up to 12.7 mm (1/2″) utilizing two heavy-duty brass hex jam nuts with optional lock washers.
Operating pressures reach up to 5,000 PSI (345 Bar) depending on the larger tube OD rating, across temperatures from -200°C to +200°C (-328°F to +392°F).
Extruded brass bar stock conforming to ASTM B16 Alloy C36000 and IS 319 Grade 1, offering excellent tensile strength and corrosion resistance.
Yes. Both the larger and smaller ports utilize Pioneer twin-ferrule technology: 1-1/4 turns from finger-tight for sizes 1/4″ (6mm) and above, or 3/4 turn for sizes under 1/4″.
Yes. Loosening the nut on one side does not affect the seal or panel clamping of the opposite side.
Yes. Each batch is qualified for helium leak rates below 1 × 10⁻⁹ mbar·l/s, suitable for coarse vacuum down to -750 mmHg.
