Engineered to reduce tube line diameters without adding bulky union adapters, Pioneer Industries Brass Double Ferrule Reducers feature a precision-ground tube stub that inserts directly into an existing compression port, reducing line size seamlessly up to 5,000 PSI.
The Brass Double Ferrule Reducer connects a smaller tubing line into an existing larger compression fitting port. Unlike reducing unions, which connect two tubing ends together, the Reducer features a solid, pre-machined tube stub on one end that inserts directly into an existing double ferrule body, while the other end provides a smaller compression port.
This compact, one-piece design eliminates multiple threaded joints, significantly reduces dead-leg volume, and saves valuable panel space in congested pneumatic and instrumentation enclosures. Engineered from ASTM B16 brass bar stock, it maintains system pressure ratings up to 5,000 PSI.
Manufactured in Mumbai by Pioneer Industries and exported worldwide for use in analytical sampling panels, gas delivery systems, and process control skids.
Components are precision CNC-machined from premium extruded brass (IS 319 / ASTM B16 / CW614N) with micro-smooth surface finishes. Every production lot undergoes rigorous metallurgical spectrometry, optical CMM dimensional checks, and helium leak detection, accompanied by authentic EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates.

Our manufacturing, swaging tolerances, and quality verification strictly adhere to international engineering benchmarks:
Brass Double Ferrule Reducer components are deployed across demanding industrial instrumentation, process lines, and pneumatic circuits, including:
Stepping down 1/2″ valve manifold ports to 1/4″ impulse lines in tight enclosures.
Reducing 1/4″ sample supply lines to 1/8″ capillary tubing without dead-volume buildup.
Connecting smaller control tubing directly into large actuator supply ports.
Adapting standardized regulator ports to varied tubing sizes without changing base fittings.
Reducing line sizes neatly in mobile hydraulic valve banks where space is restricted.
Stepping down from 3/8″ main distribution lines to 1/4″ bearing feed lines.
Providing vibration-resistant size reduction in compact shipboard control consoles.
Rapidly adapting master calibration connections to diverse DUT tube diameters.
Pioneer Industries’ Brass Double Ferrule Reducer components are trusted across critical global industrial sectors:
Expert engineering insights and technical guidance regarding swaging mechanics, pressure thresholds, tubing compatibility, and installation protocols for Brass Double Ferrule Reducer.
A Reducer has a machined tube stub on one end (to insert into an existing fitting port) and a compression tube port on the other. A Reducing Union has compression tube ports on both ends to connect two bare tubes of different diameters.
Insert the tube stub fully into the existing fitting until it bottoms against the shoulder, hand-tighten the existing nut, and tighten 1-1/4 turns with a wrench (or 3/4 turn for 1/8″ and 3/16″).
Yes. Once the existing fitting ferrules have swaged onto the reducer tube stub, it can be repeatedly disassembled and remade just like standard tubing.
Metric Series MR covers 6mm to 25mm stub-to-tube reductions, and Fractional Series IR covers 1/8″ to 1″ combinations (e.g., 1/2″ stub × 1/4″ tube).
Rated up to 5,000 PSI (345 Bar) for sizes up to 1/4″, governed by the smaller tube connection size and wall thickness per ASME B31.3.
Extruded brass bar stock conforming to ASTM B16 Alloy C36000 / CW614N.
Yes. The smooth tapered internal transition eliminates cavities and dead volume, making it ideal for analytical sampling and high-purity gases.
Yes, certified helium leak tight (< 1 × 10⁻⁹ mbar·l/s) down to -750 mmHg vacuum.
Yes, the precision-machined tube stub complies with international tube OD tolerances and fits all standard double-ferrule ports.
