Engineered for routing instrumentation tubing around sharp 90-degree corners without tube kinking or flow restriction, Pioneer Industries Brass Double Ferrule Elbow Unions provide leak-tight mechanical swaging and vibration resistance up to 5,000 PSI.
The Brass Double Ferrule Elbow Union (Equal 90-Degree Tube-to-Tube Elbow) connects two tubes of identical outer diameter at a precise right angle. When routing high-pressure instrumentation lines in crowded control cabinets or machinery frames, tube bending radius limitations can cause tube kinking or ovality.
Pioneer Elbow Unions solve this by offering smooth internal bore transitions and forged brass body construction, minimizing pressure drop while ensuring a 100% leak-proof dual-ferrule mechanical seal on both ports.
Manufactured by Pioneer Industries Mumbai, our Brass Elbow Unions are exported worldwide to process automation builders, naval shipyards, and instrumentation engineers across 85+ countries.
Components are precision CNC-machined from premium extruded brass (IS 319 / ASTM B16 / CW614N) with micro-smooth surface finishes. Every production lot undergoes rigorous metallurgical spectrometry, optical CMM dimensional checks, and helium leak detection, accompanied by authentic EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates.

Forged from high-density brass (ASTM B283 CW617N / IS 8737) or machined from extruded bar stock (ASTM B16 C36000), these 90-degree elbows resist mechanical vibration and thermal cycling.
Each port features twin-ferrule mechanical swaging: front ferrule creates the primary fluid seal, while back ferrule dampens impulse vibration.

Expert engineering insights and technical guidance regarding swaging mechanics, pressure thresholds, tubing compatibility, and installation protocols for Brass Double Ferrule Elbow Union.
A Brass Double Ferrule Elbow Union is an equal 90-degree fitting designed to connect two instrumentation tubes of the same outer diameter at a right angle, providing a permanent, leak-proof mechanical joint without requiring tight tube bending.
While tube benders are useful for gentle curves, tight 90-degree turns in compact enclosures often exceed minimum tube bend radii, risking wall thinning, ovality, or kinking. An elbow union guarantees a precise right angle with full bore flow.
Metric Series MPEU covers 2 mm to 25 mm OD, while Fractional Series IPEU covers 1/16″ to 1″ OD. Both series are stocked for immediate dispatch.
Rated up to 5,000 PSI (345 Bar) for smaller diameters (1/16″ to 1/4″ / 2mm to 6mm) and up to 3,200 PSI for 1/2″ (12mm), meeting ASME B31.3 requirements.
Forged bodies are manufactured from hot-forged brass conforming to ASTM B283 C37700 or CW617N, while bar stock bodies conform to ASTM B16 C36000.
Bottom each tube squarely against the internal body shoulder, tighten the nut finger-tight, and wrench-tighten 1-1/4 turns (3/4 turn for sizes under 1/4″). Hold the elbow body with a backup wrench during tightening.
No. Each port functions independently. Tightening or loosening one nut has zero effect on the opposite swaged tube joint.
Yes. The joint can be disassembled and remade dozens of times by reinserting the swaged tube and tightening the nut approx. 1/12 to 1/6 turn past snug.
Yes. Certified helium leak tight (< 1 × 10⁻⁹ mbar·l/s) and tested for vacuum service down to -750 mmHg.
